So you are beginner i would suggest you increase the amount of your training and amount in a while do not do it rapidly like guys want muscles in the start.
Eat meat.fish, nuts, beens, fruits, drink milk, eggs(white),carrots, tomatoes, salad etc....They are rich in nutrition and very useful for training.
Avoid supplement or any pills have food which has protein, vitamins etc do not go for any artificial stuff.Last edited by Ackley; 02-02-2013, 03:39 PM.

Bodybuilding is difficult; Getting a solid food regimen is ESSENTIAL to muscle growth and fat loss (which can be done simultaneously if done correctly). Focus on prepping your foods. Myself, for example, I cannot miss a meal or i immediately drop weight, which is NOT GOOD! So preparation and consistency is paramount. It's all the little stuff that builds up which makes you look like a champ!
best of luck

Understand that not all calories are created equal. Keep a close watch on calories that you get from simple carbs, and understand what that does to your blood sugar / insulin cycles. As Rick Dennis points out, you can lose fat and build muscle at the same time if you put as much thought and commitment into your diet as you do your exercise routine. So be ruthless. Eat properly, regardless. Lean proteins, plenty of fresh vegetables, and only complex carbs at the right times. No sweets, no glycemic snack foods (that's most of them). It's a good idea to avoid heavily processed foods altogether. Just get used to that. I had one slice of cake all of last year, and less than 10 slices of pizza. Fall out of love with food as a sensual experience. Its just a tool now.

I agree with Phil. It is a mindset. I have always heard that visible abs come from the kitchen, not the gym. It takes some planning. Before I eat anything for the day, I know everything that I am planning to eat that day. I can keep my carbs, protein, and fat levels where I want them. If you wait until you are hungry, most likely you will choose something quick and processed. But, if you have already planned and prepared what you are eating, you stay on track. Look into macro-nutrient diets. You can adjust it based on what you are trying to do. Best of luck!

Mate i work 60 hours a week i manage to fit it all in, one that helped me is intermittant fasting. Get on Leangains and check it out. It involves basically cramming in your daily requirement in a set window, its ok working out when fasted or in your eating window. Its done wonders for me. I basically eat 2 big meals and one snack such as some scrambled eggs. Weigh all your food raw too it don't half make a difference.
