  • Adding workout log via website

For the past week or so, I've been unable to enter new logs via the website. The button is there, but no response when I press it.

I like the app, but still prefer notebook and pen and then entering the info once I get home via the website. If I enter an exercise via the app, it syncs to the web fine, however, I am unable to edit that log via the web either.

    Thanks.

    Hi Robert,

Robert, I mostly use Firefox, but I've also tried with Chrome and I'm unable to update any log via the website. Neither the +add button nor the larger Add Workout Log button is operating for me. If no one else is reporting this though, I'm assuming somethings' changed on my end.

I'm also experiencing the same issue with Chrome and Safari on OSX 10.9.4.

STill inoperative. I've also tried from my computer at the office using IE. Cant update anything via the web. Too bad, I prefer using the web, though I like the app, I find it too difficult to use while I'm actually working out.

If nothing happens when the button is clicked it may mean that JavaScript is not working. Probably a dumb question but JS hasn't been disabled in the browser has it, either globally or for some sites, including this one? Buttons work on all recent versions of IE and Chrome as well as the default browser in my Android Samsung mobile.

              Also this:

Have you guys tried deleting your browser cache?

Perhaps there is an addon you use in your browser? Tried disabling them?

Yep, tried everything and every kind of browser, some clean installs with no ad ons and on different computers too. Can't get it to work anywhere. Think I'll just give up and go back to my old notebook and Excel method.

That's a shame, I would think they could solve this issue.

                    You've contacted Support right?

First I've tried to add via the website and I can confirm the issues everyone above reported. The button is there to add. But after choosing an exercise, filling in the boxes in the modal, and clicking "Done" nothing is added to the logs.

                      EDIT:

The issue isn't the site function; it's a UX issue. You need to click the +Add near the top right of the summary section. Once you create a summary, you will then be able to add logs.

Rob, you may want to re-work that part some. I'm a "seasoned" JEFIT user and I completely missed it. It's not clear that you need a summary prior to creating the logs.

                        @Deviation

That doesn't work for me either. Neither the +add button, nor the large Add log button work. I can't do anything unless I do it from theapp first. And I do find the app just too time consuming to use in the gym. I lke the idea, but, using a notebook is faster for me.

I enjoy using the app after my workouts, to review what I've done, and research routines, but it's not a good fit for me while actually working out.

Thanks all for your help...good luck.

Humph...I started having this issue today. None of the "Add" buttons work on the "My Logs" page with the exception of the Body Stats "Add" buttons. Maybe it will self-correct in a few hours or days.
