• Good Protein Supplements?

Hello everybody, I am new to the forums! I have been looking around for more information on some protein powder options to add to my fitness plan. Hopefully than can help my transition and to lose a few pounds! I saw a nice looking guide and list at http://maxproteinpowder.com/5-best-protein-powders-2016/

Was wondering if there are any other good websites that offer a comparisons to all the protein powder options out there?

    Thanks!

Comparison sites probably are easy to find. I strongly recommend hemp or pea protein. these are much more digestible and healthier proteins compared to whey or soy based proteins. whey is derived from dairy, which in my study is not healthy for the body. Of course the best source of protein comes from your food consumption; green leafy vegetables, cashews, almonds, etc.

Please remember all protein powders are a supplement. A lot of people miss the main point behind them that they are there to supplement your diet. Eat the food first and foremost and only then if you cant consume your macros for protein add the supplement. Good lean meat will always win over a powder that sits in the cupboard for months

      Peace out

            Samedaysupplements.com

This website offers a lot for the fitness community. Along with being an online supplement shop, it also has a blog on the website going over product reviews and what not. And a youtube channel that goes over products, while also being humorous. I would personally recommend Animal whey by universal nutrition I love the way it tastes and blends.

              Good Protein Supplements?

              Good Protein Supplements

Selecting a protein supplement is a very serious task and its advisable to consult an expert before intake. Here I list a few after doing some research from the web.

Whey protein : Opt for this if you simply want the best protein powder to increase your protein intake or wanna build or maintain muscles.

Casein protein: This you might use if you want a meal replacement or before bed. You can combine this with whey for ultimate muscle binding effects.

Egg white protein: In case you are allergic to or don't eat dairy products, and also want a high quality complete protein supplement.

Soy protein: this is for the vegans and if you want a plant based complete prorein to help build muscle, stay full or simply wanna intake your daily protein limit.

Pea protein: If you want to avoid animal derived products, but don't like soy even, or if you have chronic digestive issues, go for pea protein.

Hemp protein: If you want to take up your overall nutrient intake and don't have strong protein needs.

              Thnks.

Cottage cheese is one of the best protein supplements. It contains a large amount of protein, especially casein. Casein is very beneficial for gym-lovers because of its long time digestion and great impacts on the blood pressure and the body's ability to absorb minerals. I'm a vegan so it can be hard to get enough protein from whole food sources. For other vegans out there I really recommend hemp or pumpkin seed protein powder - it's really good and all natural. Even seems to clear up my acne!

                          Hey Heather,

Protein powder can be tricky, i always try and buy plain flavor whey and casein protein. I do this because flavored protein powder will have artificial flavoring in it and some even have high fructose corn syrup! Therefor ill add the protein powder in a post workout shake and add some 100% cacao powder in it with some other fruits to give it its flavor. I buy whey protein because its fast absorbing, which is great to consume after a workout. I also buy casein protein and this is great to consume before bed or if you go a long period of time without eating.

                          Hope this helps,

                          Mark

For my casein pudding I just take some spices (cinnamon or allspice work well) pour about half of a cup of hot water over them, then mix in unflavored casein. Makes great pudding. Works well with pea protein as well. All you need to do is figure out how much water you need for the right consistency.
