  • Compound heavy lifting better than running?

    Im trying to burn a lot of body fat and get cut with the muscles i already have.

    Is compound heavy lifting better than running?

    EQ. Squats with dumbbells, curls, push ups etc. in 1 workout for 10 mins, 10 sec rest vs running for 2 miles

    Which is better?
    Which would get me to burn my body fat a lot faster?
    How about a combination of both?

    I've found that compound lifting works wonders for me.

    Squats, deadlights, bench. 'The Big Three' if you will. I've had AMAZING results with StrongLifts5x5. Look it up online and feel free to ask me any questions. PM me if you need to.

      You could also do HIIT (high intensity interval training) instead of just jogging two miles. This is a great way to melt fat away.

        If I may add... How is your diet? I've found that diet largely determines whether or not I gain or lose fat.
