So I am planning to start a 16/8 intermittent fasting regimen with feast time from 2 pm - 10 pm. My concern is I go to the gym around 5:45 am and finish by 7:30 am well before my feast start period. Should I at least have a protein shake after my workout or wait until 2 pm? I typically drink a muscle milk shake with about 160 calorie/25g protein/9g carbs/5g fat after my workouts now.
